Greetings
My name is Anne Raley and I’m the Founder of Summit Lactation and Director of Baby and Breast Relations. I’m a Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Because this is my first blog post, I wanted to introduce myself and tell you what you can expect from Summit Lactation in the coming year. We all know that 2020 has been tough, in all.the.ways. Knowing what to expect, especially as a parent is a game changer and I believe in honest, open discussion. So here we go…
After working in the hospital setting for a number of years, I founded Summit Lactation so I could help provide lactation support to parents through telehealth in these times where we don’t necessarily want to be taking our brand new babies out into the world. How do I know? Well, because my third child was just born in May 2020, in a pandemic, without my usual support system. So I get it. Boy, do I get it. But here’s the thing; I want you to have the lactation support that I didn’t have when my first child was born (almost seven years ago!). I want you to be able to reach out for help when you need it. Don’t struggle alone. Even in these crazy pandemic times, lactation support is available.
In addition to telehealth consults and continued messaging support, starting in January 2021, you can expect to see a twice-monthly blog post series called, “Why Does My Baby Do That?!”. Don’t want to miss any new blog posts? Join my mailing list so you’ll be the first to see when there’s something new. Follow me on Instagram and Facebook for more breastfeeding and lactation facts and fun!
If you have a specific question or would like to hear more about a certain topic, please let me know! I want to talk about things that are interesting to you, not just me geeking out on all the amazing things about lactation.
So from one parent to another, we are in this together. Everything has been hard this year, don’t try to do this alone. Book a consult with me and let me support you. You deserve support. Summit Lactation has got your back.
